William Sawaya’s lounge chair draws me to it like a moth to a candle. The strong bold lines of his creation have an inherent power in then showing that he is not afraid to experiment and assert his choice. The Maxima Lounge chair lends a certain presence that simply cannot be denied. In making the chair, William Sawaya made use of Chlorosulfonated polyurethane (strong yet light plastic in terms normal humans like me can understand) which ultimately resulted in reinforcement being unnecessary where it was thought that some was needed.
