Eero Aarnio - Flying Carpet

flying-carpet.jpg

The Flying carpet by Eero Aarnio doesn’t literally fly but it’s great fun all the same. It is essentially a piece of wavy molded polyethylene sitting atop a ‘rockable’ base allowing it to rock back and forth back and forth – you get the picture. Originally intended as a child’s toy, I find myself unnaturally attracted to it because it’s simply so fun to play with. Maybe it’s a weird ‘tick of mine but I’m sure that you’ll enjoy it too.

Stand atop it and rock your body rock. Great for children with too much energy to spend as well as those of us who are still young at heart. If your looking for a way to occupy children during sleepover parties, the Flying Carpet is the thing to get. When placed in the living room as a contract reception furniture , you’ve got a cheap way to leave young children entertained for a while.

And theres more, it’s outdoors proof. Yeap , no problems leaving it outside for a night out in the stars. Just you and your rocking flying carpet. Drifting off into space…
